Hello everyone,
I used Schneider's XB5KSB emergency stop button (with rotation reset function) in the project, but encountered some problems during the test. I hope you can help answer them:
Problem description:
After pressing the button, it will not pop up automatically, and a lot of force must be used to rotate it to reset it.
When the same model of button was used on another device before, the reset was smooth, but the new button installed this time feels different. I wonder if there is a problem with installation or use?
The contact module I used is ZB5AZ009, and the wiring method is carried out according to the official manual, but the mechanical part of the button seems to be a bit stuck.
Equipment information:
Button model: XB5KSB
Contact module: ZB5AZ009
Installation environment: Control panel (dust-free, ambient temperature around 25°C)
Electrical connection: 24V DC
Tried solutions:
Checked the mounting hole diameter and met the 22mm standard.
I disassembled and reassembled the button and contact module, but the problem still exists.
I tried to replace a new XB5KSB button, but the problem still exists.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Is it a problem with the button itself, or do I need to pay attention to something during installation or use? If you have a solution or debugging suggestion, please let me know, thank you! 😊

Hi Skeer,
Could you please give more information on your issue ?
XB5KSB reference is not a emergency stop head but a buzzer head.
Regular emergency stop head reference in plastic version starts by XB5ASxxx : Search results for ZB5AS
Could you please identify which reference you are struggling with?
Do you know how many contact blocks are connected on the ZB5AZ009 fixing collar, and what the references ?
Best regards,
Guillaume
