PowerLogic T500 - Clarification on capabilities and configuration/ programming tools

Greetings — I hope this message finds you well.

We are currently working closely with several partners and customers across Australia who are considering the PowerLogic T500 as their primary substation RTU and controller. During these engagements, a few recurring questions have emerged that we’d appreciate your support in addressing:

1. Online Configuration Support
   Does the T500 support online configuration beyond IP changes? What is the expected downtime during configuration updates? Additionally, customers have expressed concern over the use of multiple tools (e.g., Easergy Builder, WebApp) for device configuration. Is there a plan to consolidate these into a single, streamlined tool? Also, could you please share the expected launch timeline for PLES?

2. PLC Functionality and ISaGRAF Dependency
   The reliance on the third-party tool ISaGRAF as PLC logic programming platform has raised concerns regarding usability, additional licensing costs, and user familiarity. Furthermore, some partners have pointed out that ISaGRAF is a product from Rockwell Automation — a direct competitor of Schneider Electric — which adds to their hesitation in adopting it as part of the solution.

3. Documentation and Application Guides
   Are there simplified resources such as application guides or step-by-step documentation available to help customers with configuration and troubleshooting of the T500?

These questions are critical in building trust and confidence among our partners and customers, especially in a competitive landscape with strong alternatives from SEL, Siemens, and others.

Thanks for your questions. Here below you have my comments on this.

T500 supports online configuration but just for some details like IP, the majority of the online features available are to download/upload configurations, update the firmware and to monitor the current state of the system. So Easergy Builder is mandatory to configure the system so far. As you know PLES is coming for T500 like for P7 and the complete versión for PLES is expecting in H2 2026.

we agree with your comments  about Isagraf  that is why we currently support Isagraf 5.x but not beyond due to we want to Migrate to IA Control Expert (no date for this). Anyway currently we also have an internal tool called "formula" that can be used for easy logical programs that can replaces Isagraf in some cases.

Hello @Kamal_Kant , these are very good questions, thanks to have raised them!

I shall let Juan José comment but for ISaGRAF, since we use a old and very stable version, there is no need for support from our US competitor Rockwell (bugs, evolution, etc.): the only thing we purchase from them is the license for the programming platform.
