This is a Whitepaper done for the CIRED conference in Glasgow 2017 describing what is critical for the protection of grids with a large amount of Distributed Energy Resources.

It includes a section describing a phase current weighting method to avoid miss-interpretation by the directional short-cicuit determination of an overcurrent device.
