Will new IEC standards for Healthcare require any Power Monitoring?

I'd like to have a question answered within your November 7th webinar about Healthcare new IEC standards to be introduced.

I can see that last part is dedicated to advantages of Monitoring .

Could you please explain if those new standards will make any Power Monitoring mandatory ?

As shared by Jean-Pierre Amadieu during the webinar, there is no requirement per say in the new IEC standard version to have a Power Monitoring.
However, it is rather implicit when you read the standard or remember what Jean-Pierre Amadieu said during the webinar. 
Especially when you look at the requirement for periodic verification and the functional testing of the safety services. What is required is that every month the backup power system (including genset and UPS)  is tested and a report is made.

You could do it with monitoring, but it's going to take quite some resources to check that everything works fine, and create the requested report. Here a Power Monitoring embedding this test function, will help you save time, money and drastically improve your test reliability.
