Reduced neutral

I would like to know on sizing neutral. The criteria that will have to consider while choosing and the protections required.

The harmonics and unbalanced currents are factors, but how can we analyse in real situation while designing.

3.5 core, how often is it recommended?

Re: Reduced neutral

We have a very interesting chapter on Sizing and protection of conductors on Electrical Installation Guide WIKI:

https://www.electrical-installation.org/enwiki/Sizing_and_protection_of_conductors

With a specific focus on neutral sizing and protection

https://www.electrical-installation.org/enwiki/The_neutral_conductor

Influences of the type of earthing system and harmonic currents are described and sizing example given.
