Hello,

I've seen during this webinar Mr Godemel talking about a new medium voltage switchgear called SMAirSeT. 

I've understood that this new offer aims to replace SF6 gaz for insulation.

But what about the installed base? 

In a sustainability perspective, do you guys have solutions to replace SF6 from existing switchgears?

Hello @Peter_Hall, 

I have seen in the recording above that you’ve explained and highlighted the advantages of Facility Expert (logbook and Energy) for manufacturers but also for customers.

How are these solutions perceived by your customers?

How difficult is it for you to convince them?

Would you say that these systems have brought you new businesses & growth?

To be frank, I am not so convinced about market readiness ☹ and I’d like to have your standpoint.

Hi @Gingko_Elec ,

Thanks for your message. We have been pushing this offer now for a number of years. I'm not going to lie it has been a hard sell as a lot of customers did not see the benefits. However, as more manufacturers have jumped onboard the IOT train, CV19 hit (remote monitoring becomes more applicable) and SE starting to promote more/better we are getting a lot more acceptance from our customers.

Get the offer in front of your customers, show them what it can do. Often we find that literature is put on one side. Show customers what it can do and there is in many cases instant engagement.

These systems have increased our business as we have become a 'one stop shop' in an offer that used to involved 1 - 3 suppliers. Also, our offer has expanded into becoming a service partner and an adviser to customers about what is exactly happening on their system. We are starting to see a smoothed out workload rather than peaks and troughs where we used to rely on manufacture and supply only.
