Evolution in IEC 62271-100 (expected publication in 2021)

Standard is getting updated for the solidly earth system for SC test duties. It is defining the additional test requirement for solidly earth system during 100% rating of symmetrical earth fault ( TD100S) and asymmetrical earth fault (TD100a).

Implications of this to on our product is to make sure that our interrupting system is withstanding the electrical stresses developed during this specific case.

Most of the our end customers ( Healthcare, Home/Buildings) will have the solidly / resistance grounded systems. This will mandate us to validate our product as per the new standard.
