Dear Community,
one of our customers get the error "Node UI server is not running (as shown in screenshot). Please try again" when trying to open EcoStruxure Power (EPC) Commissioning Software. I know this error may occur when EPC and PME are is installed on the same machine which is not the case here. May there also be a problem with other SE software products vs. Ecostruxure Power Commission?
Best regards,
Alex

Hello
That issue occurs when EPC services are not started on application launch and required manual services restart.
There are 2 ways to do it :
Restart below 2 services manually from PC,
open "Services" application from Windows and stop / restart the both Ecoreach services :
Or Use the attached EcoreachServices utility (zip file) to restart services
Short instruction to run the EPC services restart utility:-

Hello @Sathees
You should have perhaps an issue with the EcoStruxure Power Commission installation in the computer. Please try to uninstall the soft and install it again
If you won't have success, I advice you to contact our local Schneider technical support or go through the technical support access link below :

Hi Andreas
You are facing an issue with the windows version or your computer settings ( firewall ,.... ). To solve the issue we need to have the log file recorded during the software starting. You could get the log file in the following path :
C:\Users\SESAXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Schneider-Electric\Ecoreach\Logs
To provide us the file, I advice you to contact your local Schneider technical support or go through the technical support access link below :
https://www.se.com/ww/en/work/support/country-selector/contact-us.jsp)
Best Regards

Hi,
I couldn't open EPC software in one of the customer machine after installation, message was same "Node UI Server is not running. Please try again"
I followed same steps as you mention before but I could not find those services in windows services. Any reason why I can't find those services or will it not work in customer machine?
I installed EPC -V2.21.0

Thank you very much for your support....
In my case it was just a wrong installation. I did it again with "repair" option and it works correctly.

I have the same with a fresh install of EPC 2.22, but the strange thing is, i don't have the Ecoreach services as mentioned above to restart, I have re-installed, repaired, installed on VM, installed on fresh VM, installed on another laptop, all with the same result / Node UI error, so i guess the distribution 2.22 is causing this.. What can i do to solve this?

Hi @EPC_Leader,
I have a similar/same issue as the post before that seem unresolved.
I'm trying to install EcoStruxure Power Commission in Version 2.23.0 on Windows 10 Enterprise (64-bit, 20H2), a parallel installation on Windows 10 Enterprise (64-bit; 21H1) has the same issues.
The installation is run "As Administrator" in both cases and the installation runs smoothly in both machines and with no apparent error messages. Both in common is, when trying to start EPC, the same error message is shown "Node UI server...." Checking the services list on both none of the previously shown services is available in the list. Repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling does not make any difference on any of the two machines.
After a couple of trying reinstalling a got a glimpse fo a second view on the command line windows after a restart of the machines and one of these windows having something that might have been an error message say like "path invalid", it was too short to get a full view on the cmd-line output.
Both computers in common (one is physical the other of VMWare Workstation VM) is that they are default Schneider Electric Windows installation images with all the security stuff to it.
Any ideas how to resolve the issue?

I had the same issue - NodeUI Service error and the services missing from the services list - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and on other machines.
Ultimately it turns out that the cause was due to not having Google Chrome installed. I found this in the log file at this location:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Schneider-Electric\Ecoreach\Logs - within the EPCLaunchLog.txt.
It clearly states: EPC start failed ReasonWhyLanuchFailed = CHROME_NOTINSTALL
After installing Chrome everything worked as expected. (No idea why the app cannot just state the issue is a lack of Chrome, although I accept they recommend installing Chrome during installation)

Same issue here.
I tried to stop / restart services, I tried the ecoreachservices tool, I tried to repair and restart, ... looks like nothing is working. I still have the same msg. We tested it on a Win10 and win11 machine, we even installed it on a planin virtual machine, nothing works.

that dosn't fix the issue at all.
It seems that schneider made a product who is barly supportet and has many issues.
By using it to monitor energiflow in a building we tried schneider, a desission we know regert.
Even the installation is quite simple to do, the over all experience is all but great. The Hardware Poertag LInk HD crashes or isn't reachable, the softare to configure dosn't work any when requesting support the answer is always to send a logfile. Maybe it's a issue only win10User have, maybe Win11.

Have you checked that the Chrome Browser is installed on your machine (Edge which also is based on Chromium is not adequate - it appears it has to see Google Chrome on the machine)

Hy,
Yes, i checked, Chrome is installed.
The Logfile Error Report says that the Modbus Driver is not installed and that the QRcode Scanner driver is not installed.
I have not found the two Plugins / Software for download.
Still waiting for a respond from schneider
