Hi,
Why when you choose that you don't want thermal protection on a motor, the current [Ib] for cable sizing is doubled by the software?
Thanks

Hello,
As mentioned, the option for "thermal protection" is selected as "No" then the application considers the higher sizing current (Ir) for the cable sizing.
This is data driven in the software, and this will be verified with the "experts who manages the motor protection management."
However, the higher sizing current leads to safer cable size in the absence of a "thermal overload protection for the circuit."
