online change of m340 structured program procedure

Im new to using eco expert and have only used Mitsubishi so far so I'm wanting a bit or reassurance on completing an online change .

So i can pull up the running program and go online without issue ,I then find the cu value on the ctu function block that needs changing and this is where i get a bit unsure .

the cu value is highlighted yellow and when i click on i get the long window and can change the value and hit the tick but then the screen goes as if im no longer online ?????

Am i meant to build the project again or an i doing it the wrong way .

Id really appreciate any help

After making the change you then need to 'Build Changes' (you will find this on the menu bar under the Build heading). This will compile the change in the PLC code. Build changes allows you to do on-line changes, while a Rebuild All Project will only be offline and then you would need to download the program again

You only need to build when changing code, changing code includes changes to logic and any constants used within logic. You do not need to build if changing the value of a variable (using an animation table or clicking on the variable and modifying the value of the variable)
