m340 serial number

Hi all,

Is there a way to get the m340(bmx34-2020) serial number via IDE(Untiy/control expert) or Modbus protocol?

Or it's only written the PLC itself...

For the LMC058 I use the PLC_R system variable.
Modbus: 60002
Var Name: i_dwSerialNumber
Type: DWORD
For the M340 should have something similar or the same.

Have you searched for EIO0000002135.04 Unity Pro - System Bits and Words, Reference Manual?

You would need to copy the proper %SW System Words to registers.
%SW146 and %SW147 contains the SD Card Serial Number.

I haven't spent the time to look if the hardware serial number or MAC address is available.

the MAC address I can get from FTP and SNMP.

according to the Reference Manual, only the SD Card Serial Number can be read.

I guess there is no way to obtain m340 Serial Number via control expert/Unity only what is written on the PLC itself.
