I am not familiar with Process expert.
Is there an existing application loaded in the simulator which is a different CPU to the real one. How many simulators are you trying to run? With the more recent versions of the simulator we can run multiple simulators we must however make sure we address them with different port numbers.

Hi Trinxs
* No existing app loaded in the simulator as I do a reset , clear and power recycle to the simulator
* I am running only one instance of the simulator everytime
I notice that from inside Control Expert i can connect and transfer the project with no problems to the simulator

I'm also not too familiar with EPE.
In Control Expert you need to (re)build specifically for a simulator. This differs slightly from a real PAC.
Could it be that there is a similar option in EPE as well?

Hi Patrick
Yes there is similar option to build and rebuild the application in EPE Project Explorer
but that has no distinction to a simulator or a real PAC
