M580 implicit communication with different vendor's cards

If I produce my TCP / IP data in a random transmitter card, can the Modicon M580 with the ethernet module read it? Do I have to use an additional converter for communication with different vendor's equipment?

Sorry, I meant ethernet/ip. Basically, I produce uart data and convert it to ethernet/ip but I do not know if the PLC can read it.

M580 can read EthernetIP devices via service port or using NOC module. You need to import the eds file of your device into Control Expert (formerly Unity Pro), look at the following video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz78qkWjRIc

once the DTM is added to Control Expert you can add your device to M580 in DTM browser by right click on  the M580 --> Add...--> select your device from DTM Browser.
