M580 FactoryCast - Web Designer / HMI style web pages
I recently attempted pairing the HMISTW6700 with a BMENOC0311, with the intent of using HMI style web pages, deployed from the Web Designer tool, on the HMISTW.
For clarity the HMISTW6700 is a 15" Web Browser only HMI panel, which is significantly cheaper that a large HMIGTO or HMIGTU.
The complication is that Web Designer can only deploy MS Silverlight pages to the BMENOC0311. Silverlight is not supported by Chrome or Edge browsers. To my dismay, it is also not supported by the HMISTW.
Are there any new ways that I might have missed to build HMI style web pages for the BMENOC0311?
Will the Web Designer tool be updated to produce HTML5 pages any time in the future?
Any other suggestions for maximizing the features of a BMENOC0311 when viewed via HMISTW?
