M340 PAC with a BMX XBP 1002 Redundant PS Rack

I'm finding conflicting info on using a M340 with the 1002 redundant PS rack.  I have the M340, and a NOE module in the rack.  Customer wants to use the redundant power supply rack.  My understanding is that everything will work as is but the monitoring/diagnostics for the power supplies cant be read by the M340.  Can anyone clarify?

For the diagnostics to be displayed the module must be used in a redundant rack with an M580 CPU.  The M340 CPU will not support the function block that is used to provide the diagnostics.

Thank you!!  That being said, I will use the relay contacts on the PS to monitor for failure.  Otherwise, will the M340 work?  I can configure the dual ps rack, M430 and the NOE and build the project with no errors.
