Hi all,
I had a problem to connect the Schneider PLC TM241CEC24T with a Anybus Gateway (AB7504) from HMS firma. This Gateway communicate the Profinet IRT (Slave) with Ethernet IP (adapeter).
I have establisched two PLCs, one from Siemens and the other is Schnieder M241. The connection from the siemens side is fine and works. But the connection from the schneider side has a problem, which i couldn't figure out where is it.
Could anyone help me to solve this issue!!
Thanks you all.

I honestly have not had any luck getting a modicon M241 or M251 to reliably communicate with any ethernet IP devices, except the Altivar Inverters. The connection would seem like its going good, I would see messages going back and forth, but the data would not be sent. It will work for a moment, and then not sat all until you establish a new connection. I have had the same problem with the Schneider BCEIP, Phoenix Contact Inline IO, Control Techniques M400-700 Inverters, Balluff IO Link, ect. Modbus TCP always works like a champ, but EIP is never reliable, It does seem to work with the Altivar 340 Inverters though..
Maybe someone else can glean some insight, and give a working solution they have found.

Ok,
so for the Anybus gateway have you got an EDS file?
In the gateway have you defined it a set size (20 bytes in/20 bytes out etc)? Maybe a screenshot of this?
Unlike MBTCP, EIP must use the exact sizes for what is called an "IO connection" (publish subscribe using a CIP class 1 connection). If you get either of the sizes wrong it just wont work.
I haven't had any real issues with EIP on M241/M251/M262 except when i use the drive DTM's under certain circumstances. In these cases i revert back to the EDS file and not use the DTM and then everything just works. One thing to note is that it is always preferable to set both the input and output data formats to "point to point" to avoid multicasting issues with switches.
Cheers, Daniel

Thanks for helping. I have figured out that the EDS file was old. So I have updated it and everything went right. But I have to do this update everytime when the project is closed and opened again. I have no idea the reason behind it.
