When M221 PLC ethernet port is linked to LAN port of a 4G router, Can I use OpenVPN on a PC to remotely program M221 PLC?

Hi 

Yes you can. I have used OpenVPN on M221. It really comes down to the router you use and configuration making sure you have a public IP address and not private. I found using the Teltonika RMS cloud VPN service to be the easiest to use which uses OpenVPN. 

Schneider also have Ecostruxure Secure Connect Advisor which is also a cloud based VPN service. If you have an iPC or any Schnieder HMI this service will
