Unable to communicate with LMC201C,LMC216C through Schneider Diagnostic tool

Hi All,

I recently installed Schneider Diagnostic tool on one of our machine with IP 192.168.11.100 when I try to ping my Servo LMC201C controller of IP 192.168.11.101 I am getting the reply. But when I try to connect through the Schneider diagnostic tool I am always getting an error mentioning "Controller not responding Check connection and data cables". But the same controller is already in communication with the Machine controller 192.168.11.100 and it is running fine. But always throwing the error when connecting through diagnostic tool.

Operating system: Windows 10

Thank you

Hello @jaikar_g ,
can you check with Wireshark if your PC sends and receives UDP data to the LMC?
You should see a trace similar to the following one:
Wireshark_example.jpg

If you ping the LMC you should get a trace like this:
Wireshark_example_ping.jpg
Please save the Wireshark trace and share it with me.
Regards

Hello jaikar_g,

I did not come across this issue but maybe it helps to use a more up to date version of Diagnostics Tool. Version V15.2.6.0 is quite old. Could be that your are not able to access LMC201 and LMC216 with this version.

Best regards

Ralf

Hello jaikar_g,
sometimes it help to select a different Connection Mode, for example Nodename or IP Address (Fast TCP).
It could be that the Gateway is not running for any reason on that PC. Check if it is running in background.
Do you have any firewall that blocks particular ports?

Regards

Hello Francesco,

No we don't have any firewall expectation for the ports. I have also tried the other communication type like fast tcp, nodename but still the result is same. I Always get controller not responding.

Thank you

Hello Ralf,

I will try your solution. But I also have a question I installed the same version of diagnostic tool on my laptop with windows 10 operating system. On my laptop I am able to communicate. I have also checked the firewall setting on both my laptop and my IPC where I have the communication issue both the settings are same.

Thank you
