PACDRIVE - LMC : Encoder reset on touch probe Erro : 8910
Good morning
I try to reset the master virtual encoder of a CAM master-slave with the function FC_SetPosSingle.
I call the function with the latch of TouchProbe. I got the error 8910 : Reference value invalid EXT.
Anyone has an idea of the cause ?
Very thanks in advance
Andrea Arduini

Hi Hattori,
thanks, I'll take a look.
I noticed I got the error 8910 cause I called the function FC_SetPosSingle on the encoder Slave and not on the encoder Master. Maybe that is the error.....😔😔
Greetings

Hi Andrea
I recommend that you carry out the homing via our HomeTP block which is already implemented in the PD_AxisModul library. You can attach the TP directly there.
We also offer a PacDrive template for our machine builders, which is used by almost everyone. Have you ever heard of this template?
A lot is already pre-programmed there.
Schneider-Electric also offers training courses for this.
In this way you could greatly reduce the time for your machine programming.
Greeting

Hi Hattori,
thank you very much for you answer.
I have a rotary axis and my need is to set to zero the encoder (every turn) when it reads the touch probe. My fear is to accumulate an inaccurancy(displacement) between the touch probe and the encoder axis.
Maybe is not the right solution using the FC_SetPosSingle..... What do you think ?
Thanks in advance
Andrea
