Hello all, I am a new Schneider PLCs. We are trying to set up a M580 to communicate with a primary M262. I think I have set this up correctly watching a training video from Leandro. Where this comes into question is the primary M262 needs to get data from five other M262s. When I set up the generic slave for the primary M262 I need to set a unit ID. First question is I cannot find how to set the device ID in the M262 which is configured in the Generic Modbus config tab. I know I can add multiple TCP slaves but is this the best course of action or should I use another protocol for the primary M262 to communicate with the five other M262s. The reason we are setting this up is we have over 300 M262s in the building and we want to decrease the number of PLCs the M580 needs to communicate with so our primary will be just a data collector from the other five.

Hello,
Between M262s, you can use the NVL - Network Variable List, saving a lot of effort.

Needs to be properly configured to avoid broadcasting data over the whole network but for sure it's a good option for your case.
There is also a Leandro's video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaCMivqafAE
