Hello to everybody,
i have a TM251 MESC plc that needs to read text data from a Keyence SR-2000 barcode reader.
The reader is connected with Ethernet, has anyone ever used these types of readers (or other types) using TCP/IP communication?
What types of instructions should I use to read/write data in TCP/IP?
I'm new to Schneider plc and I wanted to understand the feasibility of the operation.
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
the simplest way is to setup your Keyence barcode reader as server (see picture below).
After that create a program plc following instructions from here --> https://product-help.schneider-electric.com/Machine%20Expert/V2.2/en/exTcpUdp/index.htm#t=exTcpUdp%2...

Hi I never did it, but it seems you need the EDS file from Keyence and you need to integrade them in Machine Expert. The protocoll should be Ethernet IP.

Hi,
so with this kind of plc (M251 MESC) is not possible to establish tcp/ip socket communication with a device?
Do i have to use the Ethernet/IP protocol anyway?
Thanks
