TM221C24T pulse input

Hi

So I'm trying to connect a coin acceptor to a M221C24T.

As I undestand it the coin acceptor (RM5 Evolution) sends a 100ms pulse everytime it recognizes a coin, however the plc is not recognizing that pulse. I've tried to configure a pulse input but have not been sucessfull.

Pretty sure ( or maybe not) that the acceptor is functioning correctly.

Need it to recognize a coin, send the pulse to the plc. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

Hi,

I think the problem is that the coin acceptor works with a NPN output and the TM221 has a PNP input.

In my opinion it will make sense if you test at first the output signal of the coin validator with a voltage measuring device.

Hello

I completely missed that. Your probably right,

Probably need a osciloscope that I don't have to test it, since a multimeter won't detect that pulse.

Thank you for pointing that out, completely missed it.
