Greetings,
I have a lot of variables that I wish to import into ’Control Expert’ ~ 3000 (each analog input contains about 14 additional support variables). I also have a lot of standard FB to populate with these variables. Too much minutia.
Is there a method to copy a bunch of FB containing dummy variables, then do a search / replace approach? Maybe something like: I export the variable list, make the search/replace association then import?
What is a typical method of using this many variables?
Kind regards,
-max

My favorite method of "variable manipulation" is using the Excel tool that is installed with any installation of Control Expert.
Start (Windows) > All Apps > EcoStruxure Control Expert > Extras > Excel Import Export Tool.
This way you can get all your variables into an Excel spreadsheet and then push them back into Control Expert "natively" when done.
