Hi,
I'm currently trying to set-up a M241 PLC to communicate with a Rigol Multimeter via RS-232 using the ASCII manager.
I have had success sending commands to the multimeter (and hyperterminal on a PC) from the PLC using the example below from the
SoMachine Modbus and ASCII Read/Write Functions PLCCommunication Library Guide
I have taken this example and modified it in order to try and receive a basic message, initially from hyperterminal, See 'Current receive example' below, however I am yet to get this working.
Can anyone share an example of code used to receive a message using this SEND_RECV_MSG function block? Or provide a hint as to where I am going wrong?
Send Example:
Current Receive Example:
The PLC is connected to my computer using a RJ45 to serial cable and a serial to usb converter.
I believe I have the ascii manager and cable set-up correctly as I am able to send messages from the PLC to hyperterminal.
Thanks in advance,
Kiwi_Karl
