Background
With the introduction of Modicon Communication Server 2.0 (MCS), there are now a few ways of accessing Modicon Controller via OPC UA. Although MCS is made for use in AVEVA System Platform (ASP), MCS also open a way for any 3rd part OPC UA Clients to come right in.
Objective
The objective of this article is thus to guide and show that it can be done.
