Introduction
According standard EtherNet/IP protocol, there are 2 types of messaging
- EtherNet/IP implicit messaging
- EtherNet/IP Explicit messaging
This exercise will assist to know EtherNet/IP concept and how to implement EtherNet/IP implicit messaging within EcoStruxure Process Expert solution approach.
Note: this procedure is validated and tested with EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS 2018
The concept of implementation is the same for later version of EcoStruxure Process Expert (EPE) (new name for EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS).
