Hi,
We've been using TM172PDG18R controllers in our products for a couple of years now, however within these last couple of months (recent installations) we have received around 7 complaints from the field regarding the PLC screen going blank in the middle of operation. It continues to run the product however the screen appears blank.
In some of the cases, it comes back ON after a couple of minutes, and sometimes is does not.
In the attached video 'Screen Blank Flash', I have captured a flash of screen going blank. This sometimes extends to a couple of minutes. In the 'PLC shutdown bars' video, the PLC displays this after the power is removed.
Has anyone been experiencing anything similar? May I know how this can be rectified? We need to ensure that this doesn't happen to the other PLCs out there.

This is a quality issue regarding to the update of the HMI in some limited cases. Please contact you local Support. They could help you to update the devices to solve the issue, or to change the devices.

The "quality issue regarding to the update of the HMI ": Do you mean when we are updating / uploading our software onto the PLC? Or this is some quality issue related to the HMI screen itself?
We cannot see any pattern in this failure.
The most recent one went blank within 2 hours during end of line commissioning in the factory.
Few went blank after 2-3 months of being implemented in the field.
Few took a bit longer than that.
I didn't quite understand where it is originating from.
