M340 AND SIEMENS S71500

I need to establish communication between Schneider M340 and S7-1500 PLC.

I am using gateway converter for MODBUS TCP TO PROFINET protocol conversation. I just do not how to do programming/configuration in unity pro.

please help me if anyone has ideas. @Anonymous user

It depends on what role should M340 take at Modbus TCP side.

What is gateway role on Modbus TCP side? Client or Server ?

If Gateway is Modbus TCP Client

- by default M340 has open Modbus TCP Server role. No need to program. All located %MW and %M memory is open to Read/Write. 

If Gateway is Modbus TCP Server

- M340 could be Modbus TCP Client by

  - BMXNOE0100 module with IO scanning feature to provide effective cyclic communication with Modbus TCP servers defined by few parameters in rows.

  - if no NOE module to use READ_VAR, WRITE_VAR FBs in code

There is Modbus TCP - MB_Client FB in TIA S7-1500 so no need to use gateway.
