Python is a new programming interface to Geo SCADA, available from the Geo SCADA Expert 2025 release.
You can use the interface from within the Geo SCADA Expert 2025 server, editing programs using ViewX which are run by the Geo SCADA server. Or you can use it from any PC to run Python programs standalone.
Make sure you install the library as directed by the instructions in the Release Notes for Geo SCADA 2025, or F1 Help (section name 'Install the Required Python Components on the Server'). Please note that Administrator rights are needed if you are going to use the API from within the server.
There are sample Python programs within the Geo SCADA Example Projects database which is installed on a fresh system. If you are upgrading your database you can import example projects from the folder "C:\Program Files\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\Samples".
You can also find standalone Python sample programs on GitHub in the repository: GitHub Geo SCADA Python Samples.
