Realflo and Geo SCADA Cross-Compatibility

Realflo is a flow measurement application for the SCADAPack Smart RTU from Schneider Electric. 

Geo SCADA Expert / ClearSCADA includes an integrated driver for Realflo, which makes EFM management a whole lot easier. This is an extension to the SCADAPack Modbus driver for Realflo Gas Flow Computer-equipped SCADAPack controllers. A flow run object supports scheduled collection and demand polling of flow computer records: current readings, historical data (hourly, daily, event, alarm) and configuration data. Flow run data can be mapped to analog historical points in the historical database. The flow run object supports time synchronization, and allows users to initiate an orifice plate change and change to gas composition. Functionality for flow computation of Liquid Hydrocarbons such as oil, condensates, and natural gas liquids (NGLs) are included. The liquids functionality provides a flow computation platform on which additional upstream focused measurement applications can be built, such as Net Oil Computation (NOC), and Well Testing for allocation.

Realflo has a long history, and for many years has been tightly integrated into Geo SCADA to provide centralized configuration upload, download and device management capabilities. As the level of functionality in the Realflo platform has been improved, so has the integration within Geo SCADA to support the new functionality. The table below summarizes the matrix of support in Geo SCADA for the various releases of Realflo.

Note 1	The following 16 bit controllers have had their features frozen to 6.70 features MICRO16, SCADAPack, SCADAPack Light, SCADAPack Plus, SCADAPack LP, and SCADAPack 100 Small Memory.
Note 2	The following 32 bit controllers have had their features frozen to 6.82 features SCADAPack 32 and SCADAPack 32P.
Note 3	Support for flow computers newer than version 6.70 is not supported in 16-bit controllers
