📖HomeBack Please read the information below prior to upgrading to ClearSCADA 2007 R1.3 for important information on changes in this version and any known issues.
On Windows Vista and Windows 2008 Server, an upgrade to ClearSCADA 2007 R1.3 cannot be performed. You need to uninstall the older version of ClearSCADA that is installed on the machine and then install ClearSCADA 2007 R1.3.
In ClearSCADA 2007 R1.3, instances that are not linked to any template cannot contain child objects as this is an invalid configuration which was only allowed by a bug in ClearSCADA. Older versions of ClearSCADA incorrectly allowed child objects in instances without templates.
When databases containing instances that are not linked to any template are loaded into a ClearSCADA 2007 R1.3 server and the repair instance option is run, these unconnected instances are converted into groups. It is recommended that before upgrading to ClearSCADA 2007 R1.3, you should ensure that all instances are linked to their corresponding templates as once they are converted into groups, all references to them will be broken.
