Pulse Counting with Can2Go/SSL/MPM and TE2
I often get the question on how you do pulse counting with the MPM, so it was about time that we would straighten out this subject: you CANNOT!
The hardware does NOT support pulse counting.
The only way to do this is using a TE2 which has one port (AI3) that can be configured to do pulse counting.
Here is an unofficial documentation that will help you configure the TE2 in order to do it. Note that the minimum frequency (which should be good for most cases) is 200Hz.
As usual, please do test before selling just to ensure that your pulse meter/utility meter works as expected.
Obviously, you could also use an OTB/SIM10M/... and access the pulse count using Modbus.
