PAS600 how many devices can be connected

Hello,

We have installation with around 50 TH110 sensors connected to PAS60 device.

We would like to connect one HeatTag and as many PowerTag sensors as possible.

Could you drop me guideline how many PowerTags can we connect ?

Hello @Jacek_P 

When you have TH110/CL110 you have low volume of zigbee communication, Release note is saying 40 wireless devices in case of mix , for your case I recommend to Test 50 TH110, 1 HeatTag ( communication period 60s or 120s) and add Powertags. Check the network occupancy in the PAS web pages , depending on it you might asjust the communication period for your powertags.

Generally I use PAS600 as gateway. It connects Master PLC with wireless sensors.

I use communication function to read temperature directly from TH110.

In this case is it necessary to set up communication period ?

Hello @Jacek_P 

Yes and you have default value for TH CL ( 120s). TH/CL are using Zigbee Green Power and TH/CL are transmitting only when they have to (every 120s) set by PAS during commisioning of the sensors. Value is stored and maintained in the PAS to be polled from modbus. A timeout grace period is 9 times the communication period. If you do not receive data from sensor, you will get the last data received during 9 x 120 = 18 min.
