Lost in translation...
Korean utility meters are awesome! They have pulse outputs for kWh and kVARh.
I was pretty sure it would be easy to connect my Com'X200 digital inputs to it but I had a small hic at first.
The documentation for the meter read 24V and Com (2 wires). So my basic thinking was to connect the 24V to DI1 (the pulse) and Com (I assumed Common) to the 0V entry of my Com'X. However, nothing. Note that you can see right away on the Com'X if it works as a small LED will flash in front of the digital input connected every time there's a pulse.
After searching, it really meant that I needed to inject a pulse less that 24V and Com meant Communication. So the wiring was 24V to the 12V of my Com'X and the Com goes to my DI1. Then my Com'X200 started to flash like a christmas tree!
Here is the graph (which I found later on) that gave me the clue:
Moral of this story, if your pulse doesn't seem to work, just invert the cables! 🙂
