How large is the onboard storage of the Com'X Dataloggers/Energy Servers in terms of MB/GB?

And also, what is the formula for computing the exact duration?

According to the EGX300 User Guide, it is computed as

Log File Capacity = Max possible intervals / (topics per interval * intervals recorded per day)

For EGX300, the max possible intervals is 171,072. What are those for the Com'X series, and how was such max number arrived at?

Thanks in advance!

Lorenz

Hello Lorenz,

The Com'X510 (Energy Server) have a 4GB storage capacity. It could save 30 topics logging every 5 minutes for two years.

The Com'X200/210 (Data logger) is not designed to keep historical data. It caches the topics until publishing then erase them and store the new data

Hope that helps

Best Regards,

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your answer, however for Com'X200/210, it is stated in the datasheet that it can store "several weeks" worth of data, which I would like to know what size exactly. Hope you could help me. Thanks!

Michael,

You stated "The Com'X200/210 (Data logger) is not designed to keep historical data. It caches the topics until publishing then erase them and store the new data."  How much data can be saved on the device before data would be lost if the Com'X was unable to publish its data for some reason?  What is the calculation to determine this answer?  I have an application where it is desired to log 40 topics at 15 minute intervals.  The devices will be installed before there is network connectivity available for the ComX to publish.  I was wanting to know how long the ComX 210 could log before data is lost.  Along that note, could a user connect a laptop to the ComX and upload the data manually to the laptop?

I just found this answer on page 62 of DOCA0036EN-03 03/2015 (Com'X 200/210 User Guide dated 3/2015):  "The maximum number of recorded intervals is 864,000. This corresponds to 200 measurements recorded every 10 minutes for a duration of 1 month."  Can anyone confirm this is still accurate?  I would also like to know if there is a way to do a manual upload of the data files to a laptop and what those data files look like.
