Dear all,
I got specific question from customer, if EGX300 can provide time synchronization for Micrologic units. I didnt find any setup page for this purpose, but I would like to be totally sure.
Thank all for answers in advance
Ales

You should try the Control page > Resets left menu:
Check Date/Time and press "Reset" button.
According to User Manual:
The date and time shown for the Date/Time parameter is the current date and time in the selected device. If this parameter is selected to be reset, the EGX date and time will be sent to the device.
Date/Time values are reported only when the device supports them. As far as I know, Compact and Masterpact should support Date/Time reset.
To be 100% sure if your specific device type is supported, check the list of supported devices, if your devices are there, then set them up in EGX300 and last step verify them in the Control page to see if Date/Time shows there.

Dear Adrian,
this is clear for me. I understand that EGX300 can manually update date and time for supported devices. My question is: Can EGX300 automatically/periodically update date and time for selected devices on RS485 , which support this fucntion. (e.g. you have 3rd party SCADA software and you want to read min/max values with true date and time values).
This is important question for one customer. They don´t want to develop scripts under SCADA for this purpose... Solution with EGX300 would be more comfortable for them.

OK, it wasn't clear from the beginning.
In the current firmware version there are no possibilities to write periodic script or to do the time sync automatically.
It can go as a feature request.
- If your customer will use PowerSCADA they can do it with PwrModbus driver.
- As for other methods of time synch, EGX300 is SNTP Client only. Though, EGX300 logged data will have correct timestamp if SNTP is used.

As I wrote, customer has 3rd party SCADA software, but he are planning to read logged data e.g. MIN/MAX values or trip alarms together with timestamps from breakers. So it means something should synchronize periodically time in devices. We have many devices with real date/time and for some customers without our software (PSE or PME) can be difficult to synchronize time in these devices....
