Dari mana angka 30mA tersebut ?

 

Mengapa bukan 50mA atau 10mA ?

Untuk menjawab pertanyaan diatas kita perlu mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh arus listrik terhadap tubuh manusia.

 

Tentu saja kita tidak perlu membuat "percobaan sendiri" untuk mengetahui hal tersebut, saya sih sudah cukup kapok kesetrum listrik 220vac gara gara nakal ingin menyetrum semut waktu kecil. Alih alih berhasil menyetrum semut, malah saya yang mental terdorong sejauh 1-2 meter. Ternyata Malaikat pelindung saya tetap setia melindungi 😊

 

Jika kita lihat dalam Standar Internasional IEC 60497-1 atau standard Indonesia SNI IEC 60497-1 Pengaruh arus pada manusia dan ternak – Bagian 1: Aspek umum, kita bisa menemukan gambar berikut :

Dari gambar diatas bisa kita buat kesimpulan seperti gambar dibawah ini :

Arus 0.5mA masih belum dirasakan atau baru mulai dirasakan.

Arus 10mA mulai terjadi kejang otot

Arus 40-75mA mulai terjadi otot terbakar dan kelumpuhan pada pernafasan.

Arus >75mA menyebabkan gangguan jantung.

 

Oleh karena hal tersebut maka untuk proteksi bahaya kesetrum digunakan sensitivitas arus max 30mA. 

Beberapa produk ELCB/RCCB memiliki sensitivitas 10mA atau 30mA untuk proteksi bahaya kesetrum.
