Rated Making Capacity (Icm) merupakan nilai arus sesaat tertinggi yang dapat ditahan breaker pada rated voltage dan pada kondisi tertentu.
Menurut IEC 60947-2, jika Rated Making Capacity (Icm) sama dengan nilai yang tercantum dalam IEC paragraf 4.3.5.3, maka Icm tidak perlu ditandai di breaker tersebut.
Icm dapat dihitung dengan instruksi sesuai tabel yang disediakan dalam dokumen IEC 60947-2, yakni Icm = n x Icu, dimana n adalah pengali berdasarkan tabel di dalam dokumen IEC60947-2 berikut:
