The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation
In later versions of SEAL, we've made substantial changes to the installation so that SEAL no longer requires administrator priviledges to install and run. This was done, to handle the increase in systems being locked down, and the challenges our users were facing when trying to use SEAL.
Since we changed the SEAL installation from "per machine" to "per user" and thus no longer require administrator rights, some users have faced the following issue when trying to install SEAL: The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation
The reason for this, is a policy set on the PC. The policy is called DisableMSI. When DisableMSI is set to 1, it means that non-elevated MSI installers can't run. If you face this issue, you have to start a command prompt with administrative privileges, and then run the MSI installer from there.
We are actively working on investigating a completely new installer approach to mitigate this issue completely, while still being able to install and run SEAL without administrative user rights.
