In Ecodial software, the option of “cascading” will allow the application to select the combinations…in such a way that “the energy let through the up-stream breaker is managed,” so the downstream breaker of less breaking capacity can be considered.
This reinforced breaking capacity will also ensure the enhanced selectivity for the combinations.

Hello,
Thanks for reaching us through the EPD Forum.
The Zone Selective Interlocking (ZSI) can be defined and studied by the ‘electrical design engineer.’
From the following article, the concept of ZSI can be understood in detail.

Thank you for your response, so now i guess my question is can we implement the ZSI function in EcoStruxure Power Design also known as Ecodial software? And does ZSI help to improve the selectivity or is it just for reducing arc flash energy?

Thank you, and the last question is regarding the ANSI 51 IDMTL digital relay module on the Micrologic X trip unit for MTZ, how can we implement this feature on Ecodial to see the different TCC and assess the selectivity? I do not see this on ecodial, can you please advise?

Hello
The existing application has a general setting for the Micrologic X series.
The digital module for the Micrologic X series, is not available at the existing software version.
From the product development, we understood that this requirement is under development.
This will be part of the upcoming release planned by the end of this month.
Thanks & Regards,
