Strong authentication for Datacenter Expert?

Hi all

We have the issue that the Datacenter Expert 8.0.0 website cannot be opened with our corporate Edge browser. The reason for that one might be the fact that the website (which is served from the EcoStuxture virtual appliance) uses Basic Authentication, which is not allowed by company policy. How is it possible to configure the Datacenter Expert to use strong authentication mechanism for accessing the web page?

Hi all, any feedback here how this can be solved? This issue prevents us with the go-life for the web page. Can I escalate it somehow?

Hi all

Is there a suggestion from Schneider Electrics how this topic can be solved? It prevents us from rolling out the link to our facility guys. I was able to reproduce the issue, change back the edge browser in the registry to basic authentication makes the page accessible. But this could not be the solution due to security.

Is it possible to push this one somehow?

Hello Markus,

At this time, the Data Center Expert web client only supports basic authentication. A new version of the web client is planned for the 2nd half of 2024 that will support more advanced authentication methods. For now, we recommend that you use the windows desktop client.

The web client authentication method has been fixed/updated in the latest 8.3 version of DCE, which features a new web UI
