Hi,
Recently, the last update of DCE and IT Advisor migrate from CentOS to Rocky Linux.
Would it be possible to provide the zabbix-agent and qemu-guest-agent package with the Rocky Linux distribution so we can have a better integration in our virtual infrastructure ?
Kind regards,
Jerome

Hello Jerome
Responding at a high level.
DCE is provided in the form of an appliance. Customers do not in general have access to the operating system thus modules which are not essential to the functioning DCE software cannot be installed. Even if it were installed, its unlikely you'd have access to the modules and their features as OS level access is not provided.
For ITA, customers may deploy their own Redhat 8.x or Rocky Linux 8.x OS (CentOS 8.x if ITA is a 9.x release prior to 9.3.0). Customers are permitted to install other tools and modules as they need as long as those tools do not interfere with the IT Advisor application. We have a number of customers who deploy their own malware tools, log collection or backups tools on their ITA server. So you are free to install the tools you mention as long as they do not break IT Advisor.
As a policy for ITA, Schneider tries to offer the modules needed for general use of IT Advisor so we do not usually include third party modules like the ones you specified

Hi,
Thank you for the reply Gregory !
Well i guess, i knew the answer before i post my request.
I am sure, i am not the only one interested with the such features as every virtual platform has his own tools/agent which (should) improve the integration and the monitoring.
I know it is difficult regarding the support contract policy but on the other hand you could also have some interesting and valuable feedback from customers which use different virtual infrastructure.
Kind regards,
Jerome

Hi,
Rocky Linux 8.0 is coming to an EOL by 31 May 2029, will ITA/DCE software upgrade to the newer version from Rocky Linux?

Hello
ITA is expected to support RHEL 9.x and Rocky Linux 9.x in the Q4 2025 or Q1 2026 timeframe. This is an estimated timeline so an exact ITA release version is not set yet.
DCE is expecting to move to Rocky Linux 9.x in the Q1 2026 timeframe. A specific DCE release version for this change is not committed yet, but that is the general timeline.
