Rack Monitor NetBotz 250: Obsolescence date

Hello,

I am designin a system which will have to be operational during more than 20years, and I woud like to know if it would be possible to know when the Rack Monitor NetBotz 250 will be obsolete ?

I did not find such an information on the datasheets of the NetBotz.

I have reached out to NetBotz product management to confirm, but I would expect that this is date that can not be provided as I believe there are currently no plans to release a newer NetBotz 200 series product that would be the next generation for the 250.  I will update if I hear anything different back from them.

As an FYI, the NetBotz product line main appliances can be warrantied for up to 5 years, so after that there if there would be a hardware failure, the appliance would need to be replaced.  Also, usually after end-of-sale of the product, there is a 5 year support lifespan.

If I understood well, you are waiting for the NetBotz Product Management to know if they would know the obsolescence date of the 250, isn't it ?

If we learn that the NetBotz 250 would likely be obsolete in 5 years, would you know a product which would last longer? 20years?

Could be possible to know what would be the end of sale of the NetBotz 250 ?

If it is not possible to have such a date, what is, in average, the duration of sale of an Environment Rack Monitor ?
