Hello,
I am trying to do a firmware update to all my PDU's via DCE server.
9 out of m 152 PDU's were unsuccessful.
I get an "unable to connect" error although those PDU's are online and responding to PING.
PDU type is AP8886
The new firmware version is 6.9.6

First you need to log in to the device via SSH or Serial and enable FTP using this command:
ftp -S enable
Next you need to download the files listed below from this link:

Connect to the NMC using FTP, I recommend the WinSCP client,
Upload "apc_hw05_bootmon_109.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot,
Reconnect via FTP,
Upload "apc_hw05_aos_696.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot,
Reconnect via FTP,
Upload "apc_hw05_rpdu2g_694.bin" to the root,
The NMC will reboot for the final time

I'm trying this method via WinSCP, but the boot.bin file will not copy over to the nmc via FTP. It starts to copy and then the screen just disappears. I successfully connected via FTP. The NMC also shows that the AOS.bin file is already on there, but I am unable to delete that file. These latest updates are causing more trouble than anything. I have 334 APCs to update so one by one is not an option.

Hi Willyhill,
These steps are only required if you are recovering from a failed update, otherwise you can still use DCE to do a bulk updated.
Also if you ready the steps above you will see that it will disconnect after you transfer each file and you don't delete anything.
