Hi,
I am running Data Center Expert 8.0.0. Currently using LDAPS for Authentication Servers but we have a very large number of users; I am curious if anyone has been able to narrow the search results in the search base.
For example, this search base works/populates users, but it is very large,
ou=users,dc=example,dc=com
I would prefer to list users from a specific group (This is accepted in the search base but does not show the user accounts on the Remote Users and User Groups selection screen).
CN=groupname,ou=groups,ou=example
Even if I search for the group specifically, the group does not show on the Remote Users and User Groups selection screen
OU=groups,OU=users,DC=example,DC=com
Made this up, just an example, not sure if there is some filter that can be added to the search base to accomplish narrow the results
(ou=users,dc=example,dc=com((memberOf=CN=groupnamel))
Thanks,
Aaron

Hi @duuuval757,
The Group that contain the users that you want to be able to authenticate AND the users record itself, must both be within the search base. Only the group needs to be selected, but the users that you would like to authenticate must be within the search base (even if they aren't selected).
There is no ability to limit or filter the search beyond this search base.
Regards,
Cory
