LDAP Active Directory login Error

Has anyone run into this issue with adding AD user to DCE and receiving an error below?

Hi @Rngo
The error message itself just implies that it's not returning an expected value.

I'm assuming rngo_admin is a specific user and that user was individually added to DCE. If so, there is an issue where if you create an AD configuration and it's actually LDAP or visa versa, even if you change it later, the DCE may be using the wrong type of auth server.

If that user is part of a group, then it could be a few issues such as the group is in the search base but the user is outside of the search base. In such a case, DCE will not find that user. There was also a version of DCE that had an issue with groups but if you're up to date (DCE is currently at 8.3), this should not be an issue.

I suggest using the following documents to verify you've got your auth server set up properly in DCE. If these don't help, you may want to contact our tech support teams directly:

Thanks,

Steve
