How to clear/acknowledge alarm without suppressing future alarms?

Using Struxurware DCE v7.8.1  I have a UPS with an alarm that will not go away ("The output power is turned off" - happened after power outage weeks ago). UPS is currently up without issues. How can I clear/acknowledge this alarm so it no longer appears/red X the UPS folder...? I do NOT want to suppress future alarms, just want to get this one off my display. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Ebaker,

Just an FYI that DCE 7.8.1 is no longer supported and it is highly recommended to upgrade to a more recent version.  See the End of Life policy for details about what versions are supported.

Information about changes in the software and the upgrade process can be found in release notes: https://community.se.com/t5/Data-Center-Expert-release-notes/tkb-p/data-center-expert-release-notes

As far as the alarm that appears to be "stuck", If the UPS is not showing the alarm, I would recommend rebooting the network management card as more than likely the NMC is still reporting to DCE the alarm via its SNMP table.  This occurs rarely, but usually clears up the communication with an NMC reboot.

Regards,

Cory

Unfortunately,  I have been denied the request to upgrade the software and renew our support contract so I work with what I got. Thank you for your response. This cleared the alert.

Is it an APC device? I've had this happen before on Vertiv devices (also on 7.8.1) and the only way I could clear them was to delete the device from DCE and re-import it. Also make sure you are using the latest available DDF for that manufacturer

Device is an APC 1500. Rebooting the NMC cleared the error without affecting power from the UPS.
