Hello,

Is it possible to import the databases of the integrated teams from the Data Center Expert system to the Power BI system?

Hello @Martinmx,

Data Center Expert's is considered a closed system in regards to direct access to the database and back-end components.  I am not sure what you mean by "integrated teams", but you may be able to utilize the RestAPI to get and store data into a separate database.  This data is primarily limited to device group, device, sensor, and alarm data.

You can find documentation on the RestAPI within Data Center Expert servers that are running version 8.1.0 and higher: https://<server_address>/isxg/rest

Kind Regards,

Cory

Hello, I have a question on this topic if you can help about Power BI interface utilization.
Are there any restrictions when connecting Power BI to a DCS SQL server? My goal is to analyze a list of alarms from the DCS in real-time. Is this feasible?

mainly to extract alarm archives or other data from the DCS database and link it to Power BI for a user-friendly presentation or dashboard. is there any policy or best practise to do this? thanks a lot

Hello @FraMax82,

I am unsure what you mean by "DCS database."  As per the initial question it appeared that you wanted to connect to the Data Center Expert software database, which is restricted.  You would need to integrate with it using an API.

Kind Regards,

Cory
