Data Center Expert monitoring of MGE UPS with NMC 66074
Hi All, I have MGE UPSs that have an NMC 66074 that I want to monitor via DCE v8.1.0 however when I discover the UPSs into DCE, I am getting a Failure Alarm saying "Communication with 'UPS IP' has been lost.
I have added the UPS Credentials on DCE and I can Log onto the UPS via a Web Browser with no issues.
What could be causing this and how can it be resolved?
I am assuming that this device is being discovered into DCE via ModbusTCP. When discovering a ModbusTCP device into DCE it is always "discovered", but if DCE is unable to communicate to it, you will receive the "Communication has been lost" alarm.
Ensure that ModbusTCP communication is enabled on the card, network ports are open for the communication on the desired port, and the correct DDF for that device type are being selected during discovery.
If you are having issues beyond those, please reach out to technical support for additional guidance.
