DCO measured power data support for DC Rectifier in DCE?

I'm having an issue with DCO support for measured power data not working as expected for a DC Rectifier in DCE.

After some more testing, it appears that when the the device is type in DCE is "DC Rectifier", DCE web services ignore the setProductData fields for inputPhaseCount and outputPhaseCount in the DCE Device Definition File (DDF).

Using the same device and same ddf, If I change the device type in DCE to a Rack PDU, those supplemental fields show up in web services when I use the getAllDevices request.  This was the same if I changed it to a UPS, PDU, Power Meter, and Transfer Switch.

This was with DCE 7.8.0.  Is this a bug or is it working as designed?

Hello Andrew. I believe in a follow-on email you mentioned this item has been resolved. You needs to change the device type field if I'm not mistaking.

From your email on Fri 4/3/2020 9:53 AM

I verified that the DCE device type was the issue, once that was changed to a different type of power device (I used a transfer switch), the device tab showed up.  I’ll see what I can do to bring it up with the DCE dev team.

Regards

Hi Greg,

I don't know if I would say its resolved, but yes I found a work around for it, which is to change the device type in DCE to something like a UPS so that the supplemental inputPhaseCount and outputPhaseCount fields in the ddf will be passed in web services.  After doing this, DCO saw measured power values.

The reason for creating this post was to share this info so that other users can avoid the same problem I did and determine if it is a bug or working as designed.  If this isn't the proper channel to bring this up to support, I can work with tech support to do so.
